Blake Schultz, MD
Blake Schultz, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in orthopedic trauma. He specializes in the treatment of complex fractures, challenging injuries, anterior total hip, shoulder and knee replacements.
Dr. Schultz is committed to a patient-centered, individualized approach to care. He understands that each injury—and each patient’s goals—are unique. Working with a multidisciplinary team, he focuses on helping patients return to their pre-injury level of function.
Dr. Schultz earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Williams College in Massachusetts, where he also served as captain of the basketball team. He was named Division III co-National Player of the Year and received both the Josten’s Trophy and the Purple Key Leadership Award for excellence in academics, athletics, and community service. After college, he played professional basketball in Germany for one season, followed by a year of research at Boston Children’s Hospital.
He went on to earn his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at New York University, followed by a dedicated orthopedic traumatology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, which is one of the busiest and most well-respected trauma centers in the world. This experience gives him confidence to treat difficult fractures and tackle revision surgeries with confidence. Along with his work at Texas Orthopedics, Dr. Schultz is an affiliate faculty member in the Orthopedic Surgery Department at the UT Austin Dell School of Medicine.
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Schultz has a strong interest in research, with over 40 published peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and multimedia projects focused on the care of orthopedic trauma patients. His work has been presented at national and international meetings across the US and in Europe. Dr. Schultz is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, AO Trauma North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Schultz was honored as a Top Doctor by his peers in Austin Monthly Magazine in both 2024 and 2025.
Outside of work, Dr. Schultz enjoys life in Austin with his wife, Dr. Maddy Gantz, a local dermatologist. Together with their three children and dog, they spend much of their free time exploring the outdoors.

Victoria Branyon, APRN, FNP-C, ONP-C
Victoria “Tori” Branyon is originally from Wichita Falls, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University before receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas A&M Health Science Center. After five years of bedside nursing, Tori went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing at the Unversity of Texas Medical Branch and orthopedic certification at the University of St. Joseph. She and her husband have lived in Austin since 2006. Her experience includes intermediate care, pre-operative & PACU, and perioperative medicine.
Tori is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses, and Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
When not working, Tori enjoys adventures with family and friends.
